It is November 1, 2011 and Zombies are coming! Ok, there not, but if they were would you be prepared to survive. Within a 30 minute time frame I asked 3 random students what are your chances of surviving a zombie apocalypse. My first victim was Mitchell Tiglman, a junior here at Frostburg. He is a mass communication major and his hometown is Baltimore. When I asked him this very odd question he answered with much confidence, almost as if this had happened already. His response was on a scale on 1-10 his survival rate would be a 7. Mitch said "he knows some survival skills that will help him along the way, such as shooting a zombie in the brains to make him stop moving." He also felt as though he has watched enough movies based on zombies so feels fit to survive. The next person I asked this bazaar question to was Zach Burkthardt, not only is he a student, but he also works in the library here on campus. Zach hometown is also Baltimore and he is a secondary education major. Zach said that his chances of surviving on a scale of 1-10 were a 7 or 8 which to him is pretty good. He considers himself to be "in pretty good shape and intelligent." Therefore not only will he out run them, but he can also out smart them therefore, he might not have to do as much running. Lastly, was Joe Clingman. She is a English major with a minor in journalism and Spanish. Her hometown is Washington D.C. Joe believes her chances were great for the fact that she is a big girl and she can fight them. There was no doubt in her mind that this apocalypse would get her down. So from my findings all three of these students would survive the apocalypse. But, the real question is, what are your chances of surviving a zombie apocalypse?
