Questions of Survival

It’s not a surprise that college students know their zombies; what with the recent influx of zombie related movies, video games, and TV shows that’s swept through recently. The zombie phenomenon has our age in its grips and it’s not letting go. But would we actually survive a zombie apocalypse? Students and faculty seem to have differing viewpoints on this. Student Michael Bean feels his chances are very high. “I’m a huge zombie enthusiast,” Bean said after claiming to have seen every zombie movie ever made. Student Eric Brown had a similar stance, claiming that his hours spent playing zombie based video games greatly heighten his chances of survival. While their confidence in their survival was rather assured, English faculty member Jennifer Brown’s isn’t quite there. “If they’re fast zombies then no, I wouldn’t make it. It they’re slow zombies there might be a chance,” Brown said truthfully. It seems reviews are mixed about survival during the zombie apocalypse. Now, if they’re predictions are correct, we’ll just have to wait and see.
