Students Feel Comfortable with Safety of Frostburg State

Some could argue that Frostburg State University has somewhat of a reputation for being a party school. However one thing is for certain, and that is the safety of the students on this campus is not something to worry about.

Students across campus are quite comfortable with the overall safety of the campus and have no problem roaming the campus without worrying about their well-being. Sophomore Math major Josh Thomas from Prince George's County said when asked about how he feels about the safety of the campus that "On a scale from 1 to 10, I would give it an 8".

Frostburg State University has ensured steps to keep harm from coming students way. Whether its their many seminars related to this subject or the many blue light stations placed around campus. Even the students off campus feel safely apart of the Frostburg community. Sophomore History major Renay Aubel said in regards to this subject that "I feel fine living off campus, I don't have to deal with the crazy people on campus".

These students that spoke on this issue feel as though they don't have to worry about their safety at Frostburg State University. "I don't feel like anything bad is going to happen to me" said Davon Sawyer, a Sophomore Criminal Justice major from Baltimore.

Hopefully the campus can continue to have such a strong sense of security for the future students of Frostburg State University.
