BY: Robert Michels

Caitlyn McGregor is a simple girl she enjoys taking walks, painting, and writing in her journal when she has free time. She doesn't sit around and watch TV like other college students; however, she does enjoy the Food Network from time to time. Caitlyn is an only child who born on September 1991 in nearby Cumberland, MD. While growing up in Cumberland she attended Bishop Walsh Catholic School where she was a member of the volleyball team and Arts Honors Society. Since living so close to Frostburg State University it seemed only right to make it her college choice. Caitlyn is now in her third year at Frostburg State and has accomplished many things while being here. She is a proud member of Alpha Sigma Alpha and the Burg Peer Education group. Caityln said her greatest accomplishment so far at Frostburg State was making the Dean's list. Caitlyn is majoring in English with a minor in Fine Arts. She hopes to become a professor or an editor after college.

Caitlyn has a soft spot in their heart for animals. However, she is not a fan of her six cats at home. "They're enormous cats, I don't like them" said Caitlyn. She made it pretty clear she loves animals when she said, "I want to create an animal shelter. A very very big one". In addition she has been a vegetarian for five years. Caitlyn seems to thinks its easy to be a vegetarian. "I'm not a very good one because I don't like vegetables but I love pasta. It's not as hard as people think to be a vegetarian" said Caitlyn.

On the other hand, Caitlyn has been involved in more interesting things. For instance, she has traveled the world to places like Turkey, Greece and Italy. Her favorite place was the Greek islands and she thought that Italy was pretty dirty. She loves rock and roll music and the new pop music because she likes to dance. When asked if she could go back to any time period she quickly answered, " the '60s or '70s because the music". Music seems to be something Caitlyn is in love with. She often attends multiple concerts which include bands like Paramore, 30 Seconds to Mars and My Chemical Romance.

When asked her favorite quote Caitlyn answered, "Jimi Hendrix; 'When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace'". Caitlyn has many dreams and is off to a great start in accomplishing them all.
