Learning and Leading is Andrea Lynch

By: Grace Herpel Engl 336
Coming from the west side of Baltimore, Marlyand this 2007 Edmondson West Side High graduate is making steps to become the best she can be. Her years are Edmondson Andrea was involved in some extracurricular activities such as Student Government and the Badminton Team, partnered with her best friend play doubles. Through the Baltimore Housing Department she got to attended a lunch in with Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley and the Major of Baltimore Shelia Dixon. Also she attended a trade school which she then received a certification to work in Day Cares. With the certification she has worked at a Day Care since she was in the 10th Grade, she has gathered experience with making and teaching lesson plans for the 3 to 5 year olds. A high light of her high school career she says “ I was prom queen”.

“I’m a mommas girl, I love my mom” Andrea said when has what is one thing you want people to know. Andrea is the baby girl of her family with 3 brothers, one of which is younger at age 20, and 3 sisters she is the only one in her family to attended college, other than her Uncle. Now attending Frostburg State University she is majoring in English with hopes of continuing on to graduate school for education. At the University she is a supervisor of Annapolis Hall and is also a Bobcat Ambassador. Now being used to the Frostburg weather when asked by perspective student how the weather is she tells them “You know how you change your clothes every day that’s how the weather is”. As a supervisor of a mostly freshman dorm she says the worst thing is how young and immature they are and watching her fellow peers settle for less.

On the fun side of things Andrea loves to read and shop. In Baltimore her favorite place to shop is the Gallery in the Inner Harbor and while she is at Frostburg she loves stealing a bargain at Gabes in Cumberland since shopping is limited in Frostburg. This past year she got to go on a cruise to the Bahamas while on her trip she got some shopping done “I got a green Anne Kline watch. I never bought a watch before so when I saw it I had to get it and now I wear it all the time!”
Andrea hopes to become and Middle School teacher and wants to convince her younger brother to attended ITT Tech in the Fall.

Grace, you regularly substitute a meaningless word for the one you intended: "are" for "at," "and" for "an," "has" for "asked." "To attended" is a non-existent verb form. Only proper nouns should be capitalized, but you routinely capitalize common ones. You include three misspellings and a run-on sentence. Although it's fine to note that Andrea calls it "Gabes," you should include the formal name of the store for those who don't know. Why not link from "Bobcat Ambassadors" in the text, where the link belongs?
