Baltimore Native has High Expectations

Baltimore Native has High Expectations
BY Carson Mackie ENGL 336.002

Do you ever wonder why anyone would want to be a journalist?  Logan Hubert has his eyes set on an exciting and satisfying field with a degree in Mass Communication.  Four years ago Logan migrated to our lovely Mountain Paradise of Western Maryland to attend Frostburg State University.  By receiving a scholarship Logan joined the FSU family looking to fulfill his expectations of graduating with his well deserved degree.  A senior at FSU Logan is a dedicated and enthusiastic student working towards fulfilling his dream of becoming either, a radio or television broadcaster and setting his future sights on bigger and better things.
Working hard to achieve his goals Logan also enjoys hanging out with his friends, playing games and watching movies.  Some of his favorites include the all famous Madden NFL Sports and an old game of Pac-Man just to name a few.  His tastes in food are almost as interesting as his taste in gaming.  “Pineapple pizza and New York thin crust pizza are my favorites, they are just a good combination,” Logan exclaims.
As a bonus to his major in Mass Communication, Logan worked as an intern at the best spots radio station in Baltimore, call letters WBAL, an NBC affiliate. “That was really cool.  I got to interview several very cool people.  I was assigned to go to Ravens Stadium and interview some Ravens players. While I was on the sidelines Mark Clayton almost ran into me, fortunately he pushed me out of the way in the nick of time.”
A sports fanatic, he is definitely that. Logan enjoys NFL football, College football, College and pro Basketball, but doesn’t care for Soccer.  Logan aspires someday to be a director or producer in movies and/or television, working in the control room broadcasting so people can enjoy the excitement he sees through his eyes.  This to Logan is one of his life’s passions.
Logan will complete his degree in May of 2011.  Time to move on, maybe back to Baltimore, Florida, California or maybe to New York City, no one knows where his experience will land him that perfect job.
