This week marks the anniversary death of four girls that were killed fifty years ago in a racial bombing in Birmingham, Alabama. The victims-Cynthia Wesley,Carole Robertson, (both 11 years old), and Denise McNair, and Addie Mae Collins (14 years old)- were given the Congressional Gold Medal. A ceremony was held in their honor; family, friends, and congressional leaders came to pay homage to the four victims whose lives ended much too soon.
