                Tiffany Blubaugh at a Glance

Tiffany is currently enrolled at Frostburg State University as an undergrad student majoring in elementary education with a specialty in language arts. Tiffany has the resilience to do her homework while also raising her six-year-old son Jacob, who is in enrolled in first grade at George’s Creek Elementary School, in Lonaconing, MD. On top of that, Tiffany also works at the copy center at Staples in LaVale part-time in order to help cover her daunting school and child-care expenses. With her twenty-third birthday coming up on March 10, Tiffany reflects that, “I feel pretty mature for my age,” which is very understandable considering that she has already experienced the life-changing influence of having a child who looks up to her every day.  When she is done with her undergrad degree in two years, Tiffany hopes to move to Hagerstown where it is just a bit warmer, but more importantly, out of her parents’ house where she currently resides. Although a college student is always happy to leave their parents’ house for good, Tiffany is very appreciative of the time to attend college classes that having full-time babysitters at home allows. Fortunately her daily commute to and from school is a manageable nine miles, with her employer only another four miles away. Tiffany is always on the go around Frostburg, but her dedication to herself and her son is a beacon of personal strength in this often poorly-lit area.
